UIndy Golf's Serketich Steps Down, Accepts Head Coaching Job at Charleston Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. – UIndy Athletics announced Tuesday the resignation of men's and women's golf head coach Andy Serketich. After guiding the Greyhound golf program for two seasons, Serketich was named the head coach at Division I Charleston Southern University on Tuesday afternoon.

"Andy has played an important role in advancing our golf programs and serving our student-athletes with professionalism and purpose," said Kim Pate, UIndy Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. "We are grateful for his contributions to UIndy Athletics and wish him the very best as he embarks on a new chapter in his career." 

Serketich took over as the UIndy head coach in August of 2024 and continued the long history of success for Greyhound golf. He guided the UIndy women's team to the GLVC Championship crown the following spring as well as an appearance in the 2025 NCAA DII Championships. In between he was announced as the GLVC Women's Golf Coach of the Year.

He guided the UIndy women's to an NCAA regional berth this past spring while also leading to the men's team to an appearance in the conference championship semifinal match after advancing the the finals the year before. Between the men's and women's teams, he mentored a total of 10 all-conference honorees, one GLVC medalist, one conference runner-up and one GLVC Freshman of the Year.

"I want to thank everyone here at UIndy for the opportunity I've had to lead both golf teams the last two years," said Serketich. "It has been an amazing experience for me and I'm grateful for everyone's support along the way. I'm going to miss everyone here at UIndy and wish you all the best in the future. Go Hounds!"
