BOLIVAR, Mo. - The UIndy men's golf team capped the
2025 GLVC Championships with a second-place finish after falling in the final match. This year's tournament was held at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar, Mo.

Andy Serketich. "Obviously, it's tough to lose in the final match, but it was an overall great week."

TUESDAY
It was a repeat of last year's championship match with UIndy facing Missouri S&T for the title. This time, the Greyhounds fell to the Minors, 4-1.
Alexander Nestun (74) gave the Hounds their only point of the match, besting his opponent by two strokes.

The No. 4-seeded Greyhounds upset No. 1 UMSL, 4-1, in the semifinal.
Drew Rowen (70),Â
Cameron Young (70), and Netsun (70) all finished under par to win their respective matches. The largest win was by Nestun, who defeated his opponent by three strokes.
Jackson Watkins (75) also won his match by one stroke.

"We played great the semifinal match against UMSL. Drew, Alex, Cam and Jackson all won their matches against a very strong UMSL team," said Serketich. "Unfortunately, we got off to a tough start in the Championship match and couldn't fully recover. Congrats to Missouri S&T; they played great golf this afternoon and have been great all year."

The Greyhounds await the announcement of the 2025 NCAA DII Regional Field, which is set for Friday, April 25. The regional itself is set for May 8-10 in St. Joseph, Mo.

MONDAY
Cameron Young earned All-GLVC honors with his top-five finish. Young placed second with a final score of -3 (68-71-74). The sophomore led the pack for most of the tournament but couldn't surge back after a trio of bogies on the back nine. Overall, Young collected 13 birdies during the stroke play, six of which came during the first round.

Alexander Nestun finished +3 (72-73-35) and earned a share of 14th place.
Drew Rowen tied for 25th at +6 (76-76-70). Rowen grabbed five birdies on the final 18 to jump up in the standings.

"Cam played super solid again, finishing second individually. Alex played solid as well with a top-15 finish," said head coach

Joseph Armfield and
Jackson Watkins were the final two Greyhounds to compete in the lineup. Armfield ties for 35th after shooting +9 (78-78-69). The sophomore capped stroke play by scoring -3 in the final round. Watkins placed 69th with a final score of +22 (82-78-78).

The Hounds placed fourth to earn a spot in the medal/match play after finishing +16 (294-298-288).
