INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its second annual postseason tournament field on Saturday evening, with UIndy earning the top seed in the four-team field.
Â
UIndy has now hosted each of the first two GLVC Championship Tournaments, with last season serving as a neutral site determined prior to the campaign.
Â
The Greyhounds, who are now 12-1, wrapped up a perfect 6-0 league season after defeating Rockhurst on Friday afternoon at Key Stadium in overtime. As the top seed, UIndy is scheduled to play fourth-seeded Montevallo (6-8) this coming Friday at 4 p.m. in the first of two semifinal contests. The Hounds snuck past the Falcons, 14-12, on April 6.
Â
Rockhurst (11-3) finished 5-1 and in second place in its first season as a member of the GLVC for the sport of men's lacrosse, and will play three-seeded Maryville (9-5) on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The Hawks downed the Saints back on April 6, 15-11.
Â
The winners will advance to the GLVC title game on Sunday at 1 p.m. Last season, UIndy avenged an early-season loss to Young Harris to claim the league's first tournament championship as the second seed.
