INDIANAPOLIS – With the regular season winding down, the UIndy softball team (39-11, 17-5 GLVC) dropped four spots to No. 13 in this week's NFCA Division II Coaches Poll, released Wednesday. The Greyhounds had their 12-game winning streak snapped Sunday, but still hold a share of first place in the GLVC with just four games to play before the conference tournament.
Â
The Hounds now have appeared in the top 25 for nine straight weeks, peaking at No. 9 in that span. They are the second-highest ranked Midwest Region squad this week, falling behind only Grand Valley State (10th) in the national poll. Southern Indiana also appears in the top 25, coming in at No. 22. Return to UIndyAthletics.com later this afternoon to catch the release of the latest regional rankings.
