INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy student-athlete Lauren Bailey garnered the title of GLVC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Month, released by league officials Friday. The Westfield, Ind., native is coming off a career performance in the 5,000 meters last week.
 
At the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., last Thursday night, Bailey posted a PR time of 16:44.64 in the 5K, breaking her own school record by 25 seconds in the process. She now ranks first in the GLVC and 11th in Division II in the event.
 
The announcement brings the second GLVC weekly award for Bailey this month and second for her overall.
