INDIANAPOLIS – The first official NCAA Division II men's golf regional rankings were released Friday, with UIndy trailing only Grand Valley State and Missouri-St. Louis in the top 10. Led by Head Coach Brent Nicoson, the Greyhounds are gunning for a 15th consecutive postseason appearance.
Ten teams and the top four individuals not with those team will be selected from each of the nation's eight regions to compete in one of five 54-hole regional tournaments. The Midwest and Central Regions will compete together at Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark., May 9-11 for the right to advance to the NCAA Division II Championships.
Last season, the Greyhounds captured the
regional title and went on to qualify for match play for the first time at
nationals. Up next for the Hounds is big regional event, as they host 16 other Midwest teams at their annual Greyhound Regional Sunday through Tuesday at Purgatory Golf Club in nearby Noblesville, Ind. Live results will be available
