INDIANAPOLIS -– Ahead of Sunday's selection show, the UIndy men's lacrosse team remains No. 3 in the final NCAA South Regional rankings that were released on Wednesday afternoon.
Â
The fourth-ranked Greyhounds just wrapped up their second straight Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) title over the weekend, and are now 14-1 this season. UIndy travels down to No. 1 Limestone on Saturday to conclude the regular season.
Â
This is the first season in which two regions will be sending six teams to the NCAA tournament. The top two teams in each respective region will receive a bye to the second round, while the third and fourth-ranked teams will host the fifth and sixth-ranked teams on Wednesday, May 8.
Â
The Greyhounds are in prime position to earn their first bid to the NCAA tournament in program history. UIndy began each of its lacrosse programs during the 2016 season, with the men boasting a 39-18 record under head coach
Greg Stocks.
