NEW ORLEANS – Nine Greyhounds from the UIndy track and field teams earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Midwest region honors on Tuesday, including six from the women's side and thee from the men's squad.

The top five in each event are listed as all-region performers.

Austin Hogan and
Katie Monk secured three nods apiece with their respective performances in the discus, hammer, and shot put. Hogan tops the region in discus and hammer.

Trace Oswalt (javelin) and
Brian Sales (400m) join Hogan on the men's team, each picking up their second-career all-region honor. Oswalt was twice named All-Midwest a year ago, when he earned the listing in the javelin and long jump. The senior placed sixth at the GLVC Championships in the javelin.

Sales earned gold in the 400-meter dash at the league meet, the same event the junior was named all-region in 2017.
GLVC champion in the pole vault,
Mary Costello netted her first-career all-region accolade. The South Bend product surpassed the NCAA DII provisional mark with a career-best 3.95m burst at the Hillsdale Relays on April 25.

Keri Ertel, who finished first at the GLVC Championships in the 400-meter hurdles, earned her first all-region nod this season after racking up the second-best time in the Midwest.
Lauren Bailey also claimed top billing at the conference meet in the 5,000-meter, following up her national indoor appearance with all-region accolades this outdoor season.

Fellow distance runner
Mickayla Wenzel joins Bailey on the all-region list, recording the fourth-fastest time in the 1,500m in the region. The duo finished 1-2 at the GLVC meet.
Hilary Paxson also grabs an all-region nod for her performance in the hammer.
