NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America recently released its Division II PING All-Region awards, with UIndy's
Erik Edwards and
Oliver Mast among the list of honorees. The Greyhound duo made the 12-man All-Midwest Region Team, with Mast garnering his first all-region nod and Edwards becoming a two-time all-region recipient.
Â
Mast had a breakout sophomore season, leading the Greyhounds with a 72.9 scoring average on the way to garnering GLVC Player of the Year accolades. He earned 11 top-20 finishes in 13 events in 2018-19, including sharing medalist honors at the GLVC Championships in which he tied the event's 54-hole scoring record of -7.
Â
Edwards, meanwhile, had a solid junior campaign, earning his second straight All-GLVC nod after averaging 74.1 strokes per round. Two notable performances this season include winning the Butler Fall Invitational and sharing 10th at GLVCs.
Â
UIndy was one of three schools to have multiple All-Midwest performers, as GLVC-rival Missouri-St. Louis also had a pair of honorees and Grand Valley State had three.
