AUSTIN, Texas – UIndy student-athlete
Austin Hogan was named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Track & Field First Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday. Hogan becomes just the sixth Greyhound in history to become a three-time honoree and just the second with three first-team nods.
A native of Indianapolis, Hogan joins UIndy's exclusive list of three-time Academic All-Americans, including Scott Riggle (1997-99), Erin Archer (1999-2001), Megan Grunert (2002-04), Maura Donahue (2011-13), Katharina Keilich (2017-19). Only Hogan and Riggle can claim three first-team laurels.
Hogan is also the seventh Hound to earned AAA honors this past academic year. See below for the complete list.

Hogan wrapped up one of the most-decorated careers in school history this spring. In the indoor and outdoor seasons combined, he racked up five GLVC event titles, two GLVC Field Athlete of the Year honors and three All-America accolades. He earned national recognition with a sixth-place finish in the weight throw at the NCAA DII Indoor Championships and later took sixth place in the discus and seventh in the hammer throw at Outdoor Nationals.
All told, Hogan amassed seven All-America awards in his time at UIndy, setting a program record for most career All-America honors in the throws and most individual All-America performances overall.
