NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) released its 2018-19 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars Wednesday, with UIndy student-athletes
Erik Edwards and
Spencer Klimek making the cut.

To be eligible for Division II Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in at least 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum cumulaÂtive grade point average of 3.20. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Edwards wrapped up his junior season last spring by earning All-GLVC and All-Midwest Region accolades. The Louisville, Ky., native, who earned his first collegiate medal at the Butler Fall Invitational in the fall, finished second on the team in both scoring average (74.1) and top-10 finishes (7).

Meanwhile, Klimek compiled a career-low stroke average of 74.8 while earning the team's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award nomination. The junior out of Columbia City, Ind., won each of the first two tournaments of the season and picked up his first conference Player of the Week nod back in September.
