INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy men's lacrosse senior Robbie Berardi has claimed the first Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Defensive Player of the Week award, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The FOGO claimed 24-of-30 faceoff attempts in Sunday's win over Westminster, scooping up 18 ground balls in the process. The 80-percent clip raised his career average to .604 as he nears 500 wins from the dot as a Greyhound.
 
Berardi's 18 ground balls matched a program record first set by Dominic Guarino on March 4, 2017 against Maryville.
 
The ninth-ranked Hounds return to action on Saturday against Lake Erie.
