INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy softball student-athlete Hallie Waters garnered the season's first GLVC Softball Pitcher of the Week award, announced by league officials Monday. The junior hurler earned the pitching win in both Greyhound victories at Montevallo over the weekend.
 
A native of Boonville, Ind., Waters got the opening day start for the second straight season, limiting the host Falcons to a single earned run in 4 1/3 innings of work. After putting in 2/3 of an inning of quality relief in game two Saturday, she tossing a complete-game three-hitter in Sunday's series finale, striking out five and again allowing just one run.
 
Waters is now a four-time GLVC Pitcher of the Week, as she earned the award three times as a sophomore in 2019.
