GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Off to its best start in program history, the UIndy women's lacrosse team has risen to its highest ranking in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll, announced Monday.

The Greyhounds are eighth in the latest poll, matching their highest ranking from the 2018 season.

UIndy is 5-0 after a pair of in-region victories over Grand Valley State and Findlay. The win against Grand Valley State marked the second ranked victory for the Hounds this season after the team knocked off now-No. 7 Florida Southern. The Mocs, now 3-2, also received one first-place vote.

Le Moyne overtook West Chester in the top spot after playing its first game of the season this past weekend, while Lindenwood jumped to third with two first-place votes. Grand Valley State moved up three spots to No. 16.

Redshirt-sophomore
Abigail Lagos leads the team with 30 points and 21 goals, while
Destinie Katz has dished out 12 assists. Sophomore goalkeeper
Cassidy King has posted a .463 save percentage in nearly 262 minutes of action.
