SPARKS, Md. - The senior duo of
Malaena Michielin and
Sage Da Silva were both named to the IWLCA Senior All-Star teams, it was announced in a release Wednesday afternoon.Â
Da Silva and Michielin both conclude their careers as Greyhounds with recognition on the national scale, as they become the first players to represent UIndy in the IWLCA Senior All-Star game since
2024 with
Megan Dunn and
Madison Phillips.Â
Michielin showcased all season why she was one of the best midfielders in the country, claiming multiple All-American honors including first-team for theÂ
IWLCA and second-team for theÂ
USA Lacrosse Magazine list. She also garnered the honors as the
GLVC Midfielder of the Year, as well as first-team recognition in the All-GLVC honors, as well as the
IWLCA All-Region list. Michielin finished her season atop the statistical rankings for the Greyhounds in goals with 71, putting her third all-time in goals for a single season by any Greyhound in program history, and seventh all-time in points for a single season with 94.
Joining Michielin on the Senior All-Star team will be her senior midfielder teammate, Da Silva, who was also recognized on the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American list, as well as the IWLCA All-Region, and All-GLVC honoree nods. Da Silva concluded her season with 48 goals and 23 assists, which both ranked third on the team for the 2026 season.
The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., on Saturday, May 30 at 3 p.m. ET.
