University of Indianapolis student-athlete Daveon Bell was voted to the 2020 College Football America Yearbook Division II Preseason Starting Lineup, released Wednesday. The incoming senior earned the lone punt returner spot on the list, which is essentially CFAY's version of a preseason All-America team.
 
Bell is coming off a productive junior season, earning All-GLVC honors at both punt returner and wide receiver. The hometown product ranked fourth in Division II at 19.3 yards per punt return on the way to all-region and All-America honorable mention accolades as a return man. He will enter his final collegiate season just 67 punt return yards shy of the school's career record.
 
Wednesday's announcement marked the second year in a row that a UIndy return man cracked the College Football America Yearbook Division II Preseason Starting Lineup, as incoming-junior Toriano Clinton occupied the kickoff return spot last year.
