KANSAS CITY, Mo.– UIndy senior Alejandro Steinwascher was voted to the 2021 NCAA Division II All-America Third Team by the United Soccer Coaches. It marked the second All-America honor for the Sterling Heights, Mich., native this week, as he was dubbed to the second team by the D2CCA on Wednesday.
 
Steinwascher has compiled a team-leading 14 goals, 10 assists and 38 points this season for UIndy. The veteran forward and 2021 GLVC Offensive Player of the Year has been the offensive spark in the Hounds' current Final Four run by having scored at least one point in five of the six postseason matchups. This accolade is one of many for Steinwascher in his stellar career on the pitch. Currently, he rides in fifth on the DII active career points scored leaderboard (101).
 
The Hounds are set to compete in the national semifinal tonight in Colorado Springs, Colo., beginning at 10 p.m. ET against No. 5 Charleston (WV).
