INDIANAPOLIS - Coming off of a weekend where the No. 2 UIndy men's soccer team (6-0-1, 6-0-1 GLVC) didn't allow a single goal, the Great Lakes Valley Conference awarded sophomore
Makel Rasheed his first GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honor on Tuesday. The Rockville, Md., native earns the program's first Player of the Week honor this season through a 3-0 win against Truman on Friday and a 2-0 win over William Jewell on Sunday. Rasheed led the defense to two stellar performances, preventing the Cardinals to register a single shot on goal in the entire contest. The sophomore even worked the offensive end of the field, recording an assist off of a bicycle-kick pass against Truman.
