EUREKA, Mo. – The UIndy men's golf team finds itself well positioned after day 1 of the
2021 GLVC Championships. The Greyhounds (289-292=581) top the 13-team leaderboard through 36 holes, one stroke ahead of second-place Maryville (293-289=582).
Stroke play concludes Monday, with the top four teams after 54 holes advancing to Tuesday's medal/match play semifinals. UIndy has qualified for match play each year since the conference adopted the current format in 2012.
All five Greyhounds are currently in the top 15, led by
Keegan Bronnenberg at -2. Bronnenberg (69-73) is one stroke back of co-leaders Alex Locke (Maryville) and Chris Ferris (Missouri-St. Louis). The league's individual champion will be crowned at the end of Monday's final round of stroke play.
Tee times tomorrow begin at 9 a.m. ET, with the first Hound scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.
