MARION, Ind. – The UIndy track & field teams competed at the 114th-annual Little State Championships over the weekend, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University Friday and Saturday.. The Greyhound men racked up 108 points to top all the Indiana schools at the strictly non-DI event, while UIndy's 123 points from its women took second.

The Hounds combined for five individual event titles. On the men's side, senior
Brian Sales won the 400 with a time of 48.92, while
Seth Reynolds came just shy of a provisional mark with a winning-time if 14.52 in the 110 hurdles.

For the women, throwers
Katrinia Hopkins and
Zoe Pentecost took first in the discus and hammer throw, respectively, while
Brittney Clark won the pole vault by clearing 3.87 meters.

The Greyhounds secured four of the top five spots in the women's shot put. Hopkins took runner-up with an outdoor PR of 13.71 meters, while
Jada Amis (5th, 13.23) and
Rosemary Skripsky (8th, 12.41) both notched personal records.

UIndy also dominated the women's pole vault, as
Lauren Joseph (3.65) followed Clark in second, with
Kylie Falcone (3.55) in third and
Megan Young (3.45) in fifth.

Sam DeWitt placed third with a PR in the 110-meter hurdles, as did
Nathan Herbst in his fourth-place showing in the 1500.
Hannah Stein,
Shae Biddle and
Madelyn Miller each hit a PR in the 800 finishing 5-6-7.

The Hounds remain in the Hoosier State next weekend, competing at the Sycamore Open at Indiana State University.
