UIndy Peppers South All-Region Selections

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After reaching the quarterfinal round in the 2021 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament, the UIndy men's lacrosse team (10-3, 8-2 GLVC) are rounding out the 2021 season with a handful of Division II honors, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released their All-Region selections for both the North and South on Thursday. The Hounds found themselves scattered across the board, six Greyhounds making making their way on Second and Third Teams.

UIndy placed three student-athletes on the All-Region South Second Team, Brian Robb representing the team's midfielders, the redshirt junior getting his first All-Region selection. Robb totaled 31 points across the 13 games this season, scoring 15 goals and tallying 16 assists in the process. The Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia, product was tagged as a USILA Preseason All-American at the start of the season.

The 2021 GLVC Specialist of the Year made his way on the Second Team as well, Kyle Basch earning the spot as the short stick defensive middie. Basch picked up 37 ground balls during the 2021 season, along with 15 caused turnovers to make him one of two players on the roster to total at least 30 and 10 in the two statistical categories. The junior also tallied two points in the team's final three contests, splitting with a single goal and assist.

Jack Belobrajdic rounds out the team's All-Region Second Team, the long stick middie pacing the team with 42 ground balls collected during the regular season. With 13 caused turnovers as well, the redshirt senior helped push the Greyhounds to be a top-10 team with an average of 10.77 caused turnovers per game for eighth in the nation.

The Hounds found three other student-athletes inside the All-Region South's Third Team roster, the team's top scorer, Drew Billig, earning his first All-Region honor on the attack. Junior teammate Josh Jackson joins him on the defensive list of student-athletes for his first appearance in the accolades, as graduate student Kansai Garey collects his second Third Team honor at UIndy, first in the All-Region South.
