KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UIndy men's golf team posted a one-under 283 Thursday at the opening round of the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional. The Greyhounds finished day one in second place in the 16-team field, four back of leader Central Missouri. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is being held at the par-71 Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo., Thursday through Saturday.

The Hounds were led by twin 69s from senior
Erik Edwards and
Keegan Bronnenberg, good for a share of second place. Senior
Ian Carroll finished day one at +1 and T-15th, senior
Oliver Mast is +2 and tied for 19th, while junior
Cam Carroll sits at +8 in 62nd.

The Greyhounds are paired with Central Missouri and Arkansas Tech in round two, with tee times running from 10:10-10:50 a.m. ET.

Both team and individual regional champions will be crowned at the end of Saturday's final round. Additionally, the top four teams along with the top individual not with an advancing team will move on to the 2021 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, scheduled for May 17-21 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
