ROLLA, Mo. – The UIndy track & field teams wrapped up a successful stay in Rolla, Mo., on Saturday, earning a top-three finish on both the men and women's sides. The Greyhound men earned a pair of event titles on the final day to climb to second in the final team standings, while the women claimed third place.

The three-day conference showcase was held at Allgood-Bailey Stadium on the campus of Missouri S&T in Rolla, Mo., Thursday through Saturday.

The Greyhounds now await the announcement of qualifiers for the upcoming NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The release will be made at NCAA.com on May 818, with the national meet slated for May 27-29 in Allendale, Mich.

Three Greyhounds climbed to the top of the podium on Saturday, giving them five event championships in all.
Seth Reynolds and
Ben Nagel took home gold medals on day 3, with Reynolds winning the 110 hurdles in 14.34 and Nagel crossing first in the 800 in 1:53.80.

The women's throwers once again racked up some serious points, earning first, second and seventh in the discus.
Katrinia Hopkins set a new PR with a gold-medal mark of 47.58 meters.
Zoe Pentecost and
Audra Hogan also set new personal bests, with Pentecost (45.62) taking silver and Hogan (39.35) scoring two points in seventh.

The success continued in the field events, with the UIndy high jumpers capturing some hardware.
Taylor Strnad (1.68) and
Chandler Martin (1.98) both set new PRs, earning silver and bronze, respectively.

Senior
Brian Sales placed fourth in both the 200 and 400 meters, as did
Sam DeWitt in the 110-meter hurdles.
AJ Goecker finished fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase and
Brady Walden placed sixth in the 100.

A pair of men's relay teams scored points, with the 4x100 taking fifth and the 4x400 sixth, while the women's 4x100 took eighth.

FRIDAY RECAP
The Hounds enjoyed a productive second day at the 2021 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday. The Greyhound women racked up a total of 76 points by the end of the day, good for first in the team standings, while the UIndy men's 44 points put them in second with one day to go.
The final women's pole vault results Friday were packed with Greyhounds. Five of the top seven finishers were Hounds, including event-champ
Brittney Clark and her winning mark of 3.95 meters.
Lauren Joseph took the silver by clearing 3.85 meters, while
Kylie Falcone,
Megan Young and
Mary Costello tied for third, placed fifth and finished seventh, respectively.

Also on the women's side, four throwers scored points, including a silver-medal winning performance from
Lillie Cain. The New Palestine, Ind., native hit a mark of 13.46 meters on her third attempt to take second.Â
Katrinia Hopkins and
Zoe Pentecost placed third and fourth, respectively, while
Jada Amis tacked on one point with an eighth-place finish.

Meanwhile, the men's team had eight student-athletes contribute to the team's point total on Friday.
AJ Goecker led the way with a silver-medal run in the 3000-meter steeple chase, with teammate
Will Reid just behind in the bronze medal spot.
Melissa Spencer took silver in the women's steeple chase with a new PR of 11:02.64.

Keeton Adams and
Treyton Arnold also captured bronze medals, with Adams hitting a 16.01 meters in the shot put and Arnold clearing 4.69 meters in the pole vault.

Brady Walden scored five points with a fourth-place finish in the long jump, posting a mark of 7.07 meters.
Nic Ray placed sixth in the shot put (14.92), while
Devin Jaremczuk and
Tyler Nolan took seventh and eighth, respectively, in the decathlon.

Redshirt-freshman
Zoe Pentecost became the first Greyhound to earn a gold medal, besting the conference in the women's hammer throw. The Westfield, Ind., native hit a mark of 54.76 meters, notching a PR and improving her NCAA provisional status.

Both
Katrinia Hopkins (51.01) and
Emily Jonas (49.17) also recorded PRS in the hammer throw. Hopkins placed third and Jonas sixth, bringing UIndy's day-one point total to 19, second only to Southern Indiana.

Senior
Keeton Adams placed in the top eight in the men's hammer, putting the UIndy men on the scoreboard. The Hagerstown, Ind., product broke off a toss of 54.44 meters, good for fifth place and a season best.

Sophomore
Nyc Sigmon added to the men's point total with a sixth-place showing the men's 10,000 meters. His time of 30:47.68 netted three points and set a new PR.

Other action included the 1500-meter semifinals, with both
Madelyn Miller (4:45.42) and
Emma Treibic (4:51.75) setting PRs and earning a spot in Saturday's final.
Hanna Stamm placed 11th in the 10,000 mters with a PR of 39:41.34

Devin Jaremczuk and
Tyler Nolan began competition in the decathlon. Four of the 10 events are in the books, with Nolan's fourth-place finish in the high jump (1.80m) representing the highlight.
