LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The UIndy softball team earned the No.12 spot in the 2022 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Preseason Poll, released Tuesday. The Greyhounds are coming off a 46-8 season that included a GLVC title and appearance in the NCAA DII Midwest Regional final.

Six-time GLVC Coach of the Year
Melissa Frost returns seven all-conference players from last year's team, including reigning GLVC Player of the Year
Gianni Iannantone and last year's NFCA Division II Freshman of the Year
Kenzee Smith. Frost's 2021 club racked up a stellar 26-2 record in conference play on the way to GLVC regular season and GLVC Tournament championships.
The Greyhounds are the lone GLVC in the initial rankings. They are set to open the 2022 slate at the UAH Charger Chillout Feb. 12-13.
