GREENWOOD, Ind.— The 2022 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, as selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Standout student-athletes MaKenna Barnhart and Grace Hegwood represented UIndy among the honorees.
 
All honorees must meet the minimum requirement of a 3.5 cumulative GPA while also making significant on-the-court contributions. True freshman and first-year transfers were not eligible.
 
Both UIndy honorees did just that while also earning inclusion the GLVC's postseason award list. They now move on to CSC Academic All-America® consideration, with voting commencing today and the final announcement scheduled for Dec. 21.
