INDIANAPOLIS – After earning a No. 7 seed in the Super Region 3, the UIndy men's soccer team is set for the 2022 NCAA Division II Tournament with a first round battle against No. 10-seeded Parkside. Kickoff for the match is set for Friday at noon ET in Ashland, Ohio.
The Hounds (10-4-3, 7-3-2 GLVC) enter the contest after bowing out of the GLVC tournament semifinals after a 2-1 loss to Lewis. The Rangers (10-3-4, 7-1-4 GLIAC) were eliminated from the GLIAC tournament in the semifinals after a 3-0 loss against Davenport.
The last time these two programs met was back in 2017 when Parkside was a member of the GLVC, with the match ending in a 1-1 tie. The last time UIndy beat the Rangers on the pitch was back during the 2015 season.
The winner of this match is set to advance on and battle No. 2 seed and host institution Ashland on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. ET.
