INDIANAPOLIS - With the 2022 season set to begin in less than 24 hours, the University of Indianapolis men's lacrosse team has been voted the top team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Preseason Coaches Poll after claiming their third straight conference title in 2021.
The Hounds, who are currently ranked No. 8/9 in the nation, received six first-place votes, good for 36 points. Rockhurst received the remaining top vote and tied Lindenwood with 28 points for second place.
UIndy opens the new campaign on Sunday, taking on No. 2 Lenoir-Rhyne on the road. The Bears finished last season 15-2 with a national championship game appearance.
