Cleyet-Merle Named DII Track Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS—Accolades continued to pour in for Berenice Cleyet-Merle. The UIndy's star runner was recently voted the NCAA Division II Women's Track Athlete of the Year for this past indoor season, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this week.

Member coaches voted on the year-end honor following the conclusion of the 2022 NCAA DII Indoor Championships two weeks ago in Pittsburg, Kan., but considered performances at the meet and throughout the regular season when voting on these honors.
