INDIANAPOLIS – After a successful indoor season concluded on March 12 at the
NCAA DII Indoor Championships, UIndy track & field returns to competition this Saturday at the Knight Open, hosted by Marian University, and the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati.
The women's side comes off a historic finish at indoor nationals, finishing seventh with a national championship in the mile by
Berenice Cleyet-Merle as well as a seventh place finish in the 3K.The women's DMR concluded their stellar season with a runner-up finish in Pittsburg, Kan.
Brittney Clark placed fourth in the pole vault, setting herself up to compete well in outdoor. Keeping the All-America train going was
Zoe Pentecost, who placed seventh in weight throw.
Senior
Ben Nagel highlights to men's side of the program. The Mooresville, Ind., native earned All-America honors last outdoor season with a fourth-place performance in the 800 at nationals.
Last year, the outdoor conference season finished with the women taking third at the GLVC Championships, while the men's side finished in second. All told, the Hounds captured five event titles at the conference meet last year.
