INDIANAPOLIS—The UIndy men's golf team collected a number of postseason awards from the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tuesday. Oliver Mast was one of three All-GLVC honorees and was voted the 2022 GLVC Player of the Year.
 
Mast becomes the first student-athlete in UIndy history and second player ever to earn the GLVC Player of the Year honor three times. Also the league's top player in 2019 and 2021, he is averaging a stellar 71.7 strokes per round this season and is on pace to rank second in the school annals in the category. The Forstville, Ind., native has been particularly sharp of late, compiling an impressive 244-1-1 head-to-head record over the last three tournaments.
 
UIndy-teammates Keegan Bronnenberg and CJ Jones joined Mast on the All-GLVC list. The reigning individual national champ, Bronnenberg collected his second all-conference nod in as many seasons, averaging 71.9 strokes per round heading into Nationals. Jones, meanwhile, was voted to the All-GLVC team after compiling a 73.3 average and three top-10 finishes.
 
The league also recognized 13 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award nominees and the team award winner, Missouri S&T. With Mast earning the nod for UIndy, the student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced in May.
