EVANSVILLE, Ind.—A pair of organizations released their 2022 All-Midwest Region Softball Teams Wednesday, with UIndy prominently featured on both lists. The Greyhounds led both the Division II Conference Commissioner's Associations (voted on by the region's Sports Information Directors) and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (voted on by the region's head coaches) in total honorees.

In the D2CCA list, five of the 14 first-team spots went to Greyhounds, including Lexy Rees (C), Dominique Proctor (2B), Megan Nichols (OF), Gianni Iannantone (UTL) and Kenzee Smtih (P). Meanwhile, Emily O'Connor (3B) and Haylie Foster (P) garnered second-team laurels.

The NFCA tabbed five Hounds in all, including first teamers Smith, Rees and Nichols, as well second team honorees Iannantone and O'Connor.
