INDIANAPOLIS---For the first time since 2016, the UIndy softball team will act as host for the NCAA DII Midwest Regional. The Greyhounds secured the No. 2 seed to extend their streak of consecutive postseason appearances to 14 – the longest active streak in the region.

The Hounds will host one of two four-team regionals later this week. Grand Valley State (3 seed), Ohio Dominican (6) and Findlay (7) will come the Circle City, while top-seeded Southern Indiana will host the other half of the Midwest bracket. UIndy opens against Findlay, with first pitch set for 11 a.m. ET.
Both double-elimination Midwest Regionals will be played concurrently Thursday through Saturday, with the winners facing off in a best-of-three showdown at the Midwest Super Regional May 19-20 for the right go to the NCAA DII Championships in Denver May 26-30.
