NEW ORLEANS – The University of Indianapolis women's indoor track & field team has collected the No. 23 ranking in the first edition of the NCAA Division II U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 25 poll, officials announced on Tuesday.
The Hounds earned 35.62 points and sit as the only team from the GLVC in the poll. Minnesota State garnered the top spot while Grand Valley State, Northwest Missouri State, Pittsburg State, and Azusa Pacific are in second, third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.
Zoe Pentecost currently holds the No. 2 position in all of DII in the weight throw with her toss of 20.10 meters back on Dec. 10. The duo of
Sabrina Robison and
Brittney Clark also rank within the top 15 in the pole vault while
Ellie Lengerich sits in the top 25 in the high jump.
The Hounds are set to return to the ARC this weekend to host the Tom Hathaway Challenge on Friday and Saturday.
