Hounds Vie for GLVC Title Starting this Weekend

SMITHVILLE, Mo.—The UIndy men's golf team kicks off postseason play this weekend with the start of the 2023 GLVC Championships Sunday, April 16. With both team and individual conference titles on the line, the three-day, 13-team tournament will be hosted at the 6,938-yard, par 72 course at Paradise Pointe Golf Club in Smithville, Mo.

The event will begin with a 54-hole stroke play portion – 36 holes on Sunday, 18 Monday– to determine both the GLVC's individual medalist as well as the four teams advancing to medal/match play round. The semifinals and finals of match play will conclude the tournament on Sunday, crowning the 2023 team champion.

The GLVC Men's Golf Championships will be streamed live on all GLVC Sports Network platforms, including GLVCSN.com, iOS/Android mobile apps, and Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV OTT apps. Also, live results can be found here.

UIndy has advanced the league's medal/match play finals in seven of the 10 years since the conference adopted the format in 2012, included team championships in 2013, '14 and '18. Overall, the Hounds own a GLVC-record 16 men's golf titles, 10 more than the next-closest school.
