INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy men's lacrosse team remains in the hunt for a 2023 postseason bid, as the NCAA announced on Wednesday its second set of regional rankings for the sport. Last week, the top eight teams being considered were listed in alphabetical order.
The Greyhounds are ranked fourth, squarely in position for their fourth consecutive trip to the postseason. The top six in each the North and South regions will secure a berth into this season's NCAA tournament, with first round action scheduled for Wednesday, May 10.
Rollins and Tampa sit atop the South, as the No. 1 and 2 seeds will receive a bye to Sunday, May 14, where they will host the winners of Wednesday's contests. Wingate, which just knocked off UIndy this past Saturday, is ranked third, while Lenoir-Rhyne and Colorado Mesa round out the region's top six. Limestone and Newberry are also in the poll at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively.
