LOUISVILLE, Ky.— The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its 2023 All-Midwest Region Softball Team Wednesday, with UIndy prominently featured on the list. The Greyhounds earned a total of five all-region nods, tying for most in the Midwest.
 
UIndy grabbed three spots on the first team, including Kenzee Smith (P), Emily O'Connor (3B) and Megan Nichols (OF). Lexy Rees (C) and Jocelyn Calvin (2B) were named to the second team. All five were also on the All-GLVC First Team, with Smith earning GLVC Pitcher of the Year accolades.
