INDIANAPOLIS—The UIndy softball team continues its stellar 2023 season this week when the 53-8 Greyhounds host the 43-6 Grand Valley State Lakers at the NCAA DII Midwest Super Regional Thursday and Friday. The region's top two teams will square off in a best-of-three showdown with a trip to the DII Championship on the line.
 
With UIndy's Baumgartner Field as the setting, game one is set for Thursday at 1 p.m. ET. The teams will return to Baumgartner for game two Friday at noon, followed by an if-necessary game (aka if the game one loser wins game two) immediately following.
 
The Midwest Super Regional will be streamed for free on the GLVC Sports Network. The GLVCSN is available online, as well as on the GLVCSN iOS and Android mobile apps and GLVCSN OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV.
 
The Hounds have advanced to the Super Regional round on four previous occasions, the last of which coming in 2019. UIndy is gunning for its third-ever "World Series" appearance (2009, '15). This year's championship will be held in Chattanooga, Tenn., May 25-29.
