BALTIMORE, Md. – UIndy midfielder
Kyle Basch was named the 2023 USILA/Blatant Defender of the Year, the organization announced on Friday afternoon.

Basch is the first Greyhound in program history to earn a postseason major award from the organization, finishing his final season with 73 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers.

Five others joined the Ada, Mich., native on the All-America teams, including
Drew Billig (first) and
Josh Jackson (second).
Wyatt Auyer,
Ben Foster, and
Evan Soucy were all selected to the Honorable Mention list.

Six All-Americans is the highest total in a single spring in the program's eight-season history. Basch and Billig, now three-time All-Americans, were recently named
USILA All-South following their incredible individual campaigns. Meanwhile, Jackson improved to a second-team honoree after leading the team with 30 caused turnovers.

Billig wrapped up his career as the program's all-time points leader with 263, as well as assists with 147.
