Clark, Pentecost Notch CSC Academic All-America® Honors

AUSTIN, Texas – Brittney Clark and Zoe Pentecost of the UIndy women's track & field team were selected to the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Third Team list, officials announced on Wednesday. The annual list recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. This season, both student-athletes were among a small few from UIndy who qualified for both of the NCAA's indoor and outdoor track & field championships.

Clark boasts a 3.81 grade point average in biology and earns Academic All-America® honors for the second time in her career. In 2022-23, she was the GLVC's outdoor champion in the pole vault while being the runner-up in the event during indoor season. After this, she continued her competition in the pole vault and went on to grab ninth at the NCAA Indoor Championships and 18th during the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Pentecost holds a 3.84 GPA in exercise science. This season, she found the podium and was tabbed as an All-American at both NCAA Championships after she placed third during the indoor national meet in the weight throw and seventh during the outdoor national meet in the hammer throw. Along with this, she was also the GLVC conference champion this year in both of those events.
