BALTIMORE, Md. - The UIndy men's lacrosse team rose one spot to No. 8 in the latest USILA national coaches poll, announced Monday.
The Greyhounds picked up a top-15 win last Saturday in their home opener, defeating No. 13 Merychurst, 8-7, in freezing conditions. Senior netminder
KC Carlson made a career-high 17 saves against the Lakers, while
Triston Schaffer recorded four points on three goals and one assist.
UIndy is now 3-1 on the season, with its lone loss against the defending national champion and current top-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne. Fellow South Region contenders make up each of the top four, while Wingate slots just ahead of the Greyhounds at No. 7.
The Crimson and Grey host Walsh for a mid-week matchup on Wednesday at 4 p.m. from Key Stadium.
