INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis fifth-year utility player Braxton Downs and senior pitcher Kenzee Smith were named Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) weekly award winners in softball, it was announced by the league office Monday. 
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Went 9-for-16 (.563) in four wins, accumulating a .611 on-base percentage
• Did not strike out in 18 plate appearances
• Smacked three doubles and two triples, while driving in three runs
• Added eight runs scored
• Highlighted by 3-for-5 performance in game two against Wheeling, recording two doubles, three runs scored, and one RBI
• Earns first career Player of the Week award

• Threw 3.1 hitless frames and retired eight batters via strikeout in game two versus WLU, picking up her second save of the season
