LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The UIndy softball team continues to be ranked fifth in the
National Fastpitch Coaches Association's (NFCA) poll for the third week in a row. This is the ninth consecutive week that the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 10.
The Hounds are
34-3 overall and 13-1 in GLVC play. With the team
sweeping Lewis on Saturday, UIndy holds sole possession over first place in the GLVC. Both teams had the same conference record going into the Saturday doubleheader, but the Greyhounds showed their skills and swept the Flyers.
On Monday, star pitcher
Kenzee Smith was named the
GLVC Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season. Smith collected a win and a save while facing Lewis.
The Hounds will continue to play at Baumgarner Field with matchups against Missouri S&T and Maryville on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
