KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The UIndy track & field teams head west this weekend for the 2024 GLVC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Truman State University, from May 2-4.

Action for the 27th annual championship event is slated to begin on Thursday and continue through Saturday at Gardner Track/Strokes Stadium. The combined events will kick off the festivities at 2 p.m. on Thursday, followed by 9 a.m. starts on Friday and Saturday.

The GLVC Championships will once again be streamed live and free on all GLVCÂ Sports Network platforms, including GLVCSN.com, iOS/Android mobile apps, and Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV OTT apps.

Last season, the UIndy women earned a runner-up finish with 157 points, while the men placed third with 79.5 points. The Greyhounds have won a GLVC-record seven men outdoor titles, sharing the top spot with Missouri S&T. Meanwhile, the UIndy women have won seven outdoor championships, ranking second behind Lewis' conference-leading 13. Â The GLVC began sponsoring the sport in 1996.

Zoe Pentecost and
Sabrina Robison have evenly split this season's GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors, both winning twice.

Five Greyhounds top the league in their respective event, including
Treyton Arnold (pole vault),
Ellie Lengerich (400 hurdles, heptathlon),
Alex Meyer (long jump), Pentecost (hammer), and Robison (pole vault). Pentecost also leads all of NCAA Division II in the hammer, tossing a program-record 61.94m at the Marian Open in late March.
