NORMAN, Okla. – Simon Engman was selected to the 2024 NCAA DII PING All-Region team, as announced by the GCAA on Thursday.
Â
The GLVC Freshman of the Year led an all-rookie UIndy team to its 17th conference crown, earning a top-10 finish at the league event in stroke play.
Â
Engman averaged an impressive 72.1 per round – sixth all-time in program history for season scoring average – in his first collegiate campaign, including a three-round score of 207 (-3) at the DII Central/Midwest Regional.
Â
The Gothenburg, Sweden, native shot a season-best seven-under par twice this season, once in the fall and once in the spring. In just his second-ever college tournament, Engman went 71-67-71 at the UIndy Invitational held at Broadmoor Country Club back in September.
Â
Engman is the first Greyhound named to the all-region team since 2022 and 19th overall in program history.
