Addison, IL - Over the weekend, the University of Indianapolis women's bowling team competed in the ISBPA Kegel Classic, placing 33rd in the 50-team field with 6,962 total pins. Elizabeth Estes finished 37th in a field of 310 bowlers, averaging 190.8 pins per game.
UIndy women's bowling head coach Cam Estes on the team's performance this weekend: "Coming out of the semester break we had a really good week of practice, and it showed throughout the weekend."
Saturday's format held the individual competition, where the Greyhounds picked up 4,161 pins as a team over five games. Estes led the team with 954 total pins, while Emily Heldman totaled 891 for an average of 178.2.
Sunday's competition was in the Baker format, where the Hounds totaled 2801 pins across 16 games, for an average of 175.1 pins per game.
Coach Estes was pleased to see that the team's preparation and poise showed in the lanes this weekend. "I am so proud of each of these young ladies. They were prepared and really showed what we can do as a team working together."
