INDIANAPOLIS – The three-time reigning GLVC champion UIndy football team announced the addition of five transfers to its spring roster. TJ Easley-Jones (Jackson State), Devin Nelson (Indiana State), Jourdan Powell (Roosevelt), Corey Rocchietti (Austin Peay), and Danny Royster (Ball State) will all wear the Crimson & Grey starting this semester.

TJ EASLEY-JONES
DB | 5-11 | 190 | Fort Wayne, IN / Snider / Jackson State

• Garnered playing time in four games at Jackson State in 2023.
• Started his collegiate career at Dodge City Community College, compiling 18 tackles and an interception in two seasons.
• Named all-conference both as a defensive back and as and return specialist in high school.
• Indiana North/South All-Star Game invitee. 
• Also an accomplished sprinter on the state runner-up Snider track & field team.

"TJ is a good player and a good student. He's a good fit for us. We've had a lot of great players from Snyder High School so we're excited he's here."
 
DEVIN NELSON
RB | 6-0 | 195 | Huber Heights, OH / Wayne / Indiana State

• Award-winner tailback played four seasons at Tiffin University before moving to Indiana State for the 2024 season.
• Played in four games for the Sycamores in 2024, garnering 24 carries for 81 yards.
• Voted All-Super Region 1 Second Team in '23 at Tiffin while earning All-GMAC honors three times.
• Rushed for 1,717 yards and 30 touchdowns on 295 touches as a prep.

Keevers on Nelson…
"Devin is a tailback from Indiana State, originally from Wayne High School in Dayton. I remember when he came out of high school. Very good player. Good worker. He's a grad transfer, and he'll be a good fit for us. He's a really good football player."
 
JOURDAN POWELL
DB | 5-8 | 175 | Springfield, MA / East Longmeadow / Roosevelt

• Made seven starts at cornerback for Roosevelt in 2024, netting 28 total tackles, one forced fumble and 1.5 sacks.
• His eight pass break-ups was the second-highest mark in the GLIAC in 2024.
• Two-way player in high school amassed four interceptions as a cornerback and 375 receiving yards and two touchdowns as a wideout his final season.

Keevers on Powell…
"Jourdan transferred from Roosevelt so he's played in Division II. He started multiple games in the GLIAC, and he's going to help us win ball games."
 
COREY ROCCHIETTI
LS | 5-9 | 237 | Mount Juliet, TN / Mount Juliet / Austin Peay

• Spent two years at DI Austin Peay where he was an honor roll student.
• Two-time All-State and All-Region as a prep, executing 172 snaps without an error in his prep career.
• Exited high school with a 4.5 star ranking from Kohl's Kicking.

Keevers on Rocchietti…
"Corey is from Austin Peay. We need a long snapper and he's proven. He's played in college football games, has a lot of game experience at the college level. He should really help our kicking game, and we're excited he's here."
 
DANNY ROYSTER
DE | 6-3 | 236 | Indianapolis, IN / Lawrence North / Ball State

• Local product appeared in 12 games over two seasons at Ball State following a redshirt year in 2022.
• Earned his first collegiate sack against then-two-time defending FBS champion and No. 1-ranked Georgia as a redshirt freshman.
• Tabbed as a three-star prospect and the second-best linebacker recruit in the state by 247Sports coming out of high school.
• IFCA All-State Top 50 honoree.

Keevers on Royster…
"Danny is a local guy that we know very well. He played at Lawrence North here in town and played at Ball State. He's another really good guy; a fine young man that works hard and is going to fit really well in our program, and he's going to help us win a lot of ball games."
