STERLING HEIGHTS, MI – In their first tournament of the season, the UIndy women's bowling team finished 22nd at the Midwest Collegiate Classic this weekend, totaling 6,951 pins.
Individually, Cheyenne Beechboard finished 17th in the field of 358 after a strong showing on Saturday. Taylor Stace also placed 57th.
INS AND OUTS
Saturday's competition hosted five traditional games, where the team raked in 4,246 total pins, and averaged 849.2 pins per game. The team high came in the second game, where the Greyhounds posted 874 pins.
Beechboard had both the highest game average (194) and the highest individual game (221) on Saturday. The second highest average went to Stace, who held a 179.2 mark throughout the five games. Emily Heldman collected an average of 164 in the traditional format.
The format for Sunday held 16 team Baker games, where the Hounds racked up 2,705 total pins. UIndy averaged 169.1 pins per Baker game, with the highest game total being 214.
