INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy men's and women's track and field teams had five individuals and one relay team selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships.
This year's competition will be a part of the DII Winter Festival in Indianapolis. Along with the track and field championships, swimming and diving and wrestling will also compete in the Circle City. Track and field will compete at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the Fall Creek Pavilion. The meet will begin on Thursday, Mar. 13, and last through Saturday, Mar. 15.
Leading the way is reigning weight throw National Champion
Zoe Pentecost. Pentecost is ranked fourth going into Nationals with a mark of 19.53m. This is the senior's fourth trip to Nationals and is a three-time All-American in the event.
Audra Hogan will join Pentecost in the weight throw competition. This is Hogan's first National Championship, her final throw of 18.67m during the GLVC Indoor Championships secured her spot.
Ellie Lengerich is also slated to compete in the pentathlon. Lengerich placed 10th in last year's pentathlon and enters this year with the 11th best mark of 3716 points.
On the men's side,
Josue Le Cadre is set to compete in his first collegiate National Championships. Le Cadre has the best time in the 800m at 1:48.29 going into the meet. He will also compete in the Distance Medley Relay with
Josiah Adams,
Tom Saint-Juvin, and
Felix Rivet. This will be the first men's DMR to make it to Nationals.
Alex Meyer is the final athlete to punch his spot to the national meet. Meyer will compete in the high jump and the long jump. The sophomore enters the meet with a mark of 7.38m in the long jump and 2.12m in the high jump.
