The UIndy softball team enters the postseason this week, as the 2025 GLVC Championship Tournament kicks off Wednesday at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Ill. The Greyhounds earned the No. 6 seed in the eight-team, double-elimination bracket and are scheduled to open versus third-seeded Maryville University on Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET.

It marks the second straight season that the Greyhounds will open the conference tourney versus the Saints. UIndy managed a 9-1 win in last year's event and are 3-0 versus Maryville all-time at the GLVC Tournament. Earlier this season, Maryville swept a doubleheader in Indianapolis, snapping the Hounds' 10-game winning streak in the series.

UIndy was one of three GLVC teams to appear in the most-recent NCAA DII Midwest Region rankings, with Lewis (5th), McKedree (6th) and UIndy (10th) earning a spot in the top 10. With just eight teams qualifying for the regional, the Greyhounds look to improve their postseason resume this week versus the GLVC's best. All eight conference contenders have a chance to earn the league's NCAA automatic bid.
