INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis athletic department announced Monday that its 641 student-athletes combined for a lofty 3.40 grade point average for the 2025 spring semester and concluded the 2024-25 academic year with a 3.41 GPA. Individually, 336 Greyhounds managed a 3.5 or better while 76 had a perfect 4.0 this semester.
"The UIndy Athletic Department proudly recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of our student-athletes," said
Andrea Walker, Senior Woman Administrator and Associate A.D. for Academics. "This accomplishment reflects their unwavering commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom."
Overall for the academic year, a whopping 307 student-athletes finished with a 3.5 GPA or better, while 22 Hounds recorded a 4.0.
"The student-athletes continue to raise the academic bar each year which shows their deep seeded commitment to the student first mentality," concluded Walker. "Keep up the exceptional work, Hounds!"

The UIndy men's golf team paced the department with a 3.772 GPA as a program, while the women's triathlon team - which led in the fall - was just behind with a 3.723 GPA. Each of the 23* Greyhound programs finished with at least a 3.1 over the course of the spring, while 10 combined for a 3.5 or higher.
